Job Description:
The Radiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, mammography, and other radiological procedures as prescribed by physicians. The role ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, radiation protection, and proper operation of radiology equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and other radiological examinations.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes and positioning them correctly.
- Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation accurately.
- Assist radiologists and physicians during specialized procedures when required.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies appropriately.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and cleanliness of imaging equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance services.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Visit peripheral centres and Health Camps
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging Technology, or related field.
- Valid professional license/registration as per applicable regulations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging services preferred.
- Knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
- Understanding of radiation protection and patient safety practices.
- Ability to operate digital radiology and PACS systems.

- Experience in CT, MRI, Mammography, or Ultrasound assistance.
