Job Description:
The MIS & Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS), and supporting budgeting and financial analysis activities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, data management, compliance with organizational policies, and timely submission of management reports.
Key Responsibilities
MIS Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Collect, analyze, and validate data from various departments.
- Develop dashboards and reports for management decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
- Generate performance reports and trend analyses.
- Coordinate with departments for timely submission of operational data.
- Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
- Automate reporting processes where possible using Excel or ERP tools.
Finance Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records, vouchers, invoices, and ledgers.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Process payments, reimbursements, and expense tracking.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Assist in preparing audit documents and compliance reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA / equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MIS and finance/accounts functions.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Dashboards).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of budgeting and financial analysis.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
