Manali Mission Hospital

Caring for the Community Since 1935

When trauma strikes in the mountains, there is no second chance.

At Traumasicon 2026 in Kerela, Dr. Philip Alexander delivered an oration on trauma care at the edge of the possible, drawing on decades of experience managing major trauma at Lady Willingdon Hospital, Manali.

In a remote Himalayan setting, where distance, terrain and limited resources can make emergency care especially challenging, our teams have continually adapted how we respond to major trauma.

The result is a trauma care approach built around experience, resourcefulness, teamwork and timely decision-making, with survival outcomes comparable to international standards.

For the mountains, for the communities & for every life that depends on us.

A powerful message can sometimes reach people in ways words alone cannot🤍

As part of our substance abuse awareness programme at Lady Willingdon Hospital, our team came together to present a thought-provoking theatrical performance highlighting the impact of substance abuse and the importance of staying away from it.

Through their performance, they reminded us that awareness can be the first step towards making healthier choices, especially among the younger generation.

Let’s create awareness. Let’s choose a life free from substance abuse.

Behind every long-distance transfer is a person who needs to get somewhere safely, calmly and without losing precious time.

For a hospital serving mountain communities, that connection between one hospital and the higher care can mean everything.

Help us strengthen that connection.
We’re raising ₹36 lakhs for a new Critical Care Advanced Ambulance at Lady Willingdon Hospital.
